blog is below…its very hard doing this on a pocket phone

We set off early from Chez Chemin and find a cycle path along an old railway track. It’s fascinating following the track and the old railway stations, some unloved, some bursting with life.
Who knew the French had their own version of Beeching.
At one junction a “Pannier du Jardin” appears, a truck with one side open to display a beautiful fresh fruit and veg shop….today’s lunch is nearly sorted. Just as we pay, he shuts up shop and zooms off!

As we’re off the beaten track it’s hard to find place open, so we grab provisions wherever we can.

For lunch we mainly head for a church in these desolate villages as they do usually have some seating and shade.

We trundle into the sleepy town where our beautiful accommodation is waiting, a spectacular open plan barn. But we soon realise too open plan for 3 with the open shower room in my bedroom overlooking the lounge where D & D are sleeping!
